London, visiting my favourite city for the 7th time. The only different thing this time is that I planned it way different then I usually do.
This time it wss my goal to avoid the real touristic places and see some different things. Beforehand I made a list of places and musea I wanted to visit. Another thing this time is that I used the underground, when usually I take a taxi wherever I go.
A weekend filled with walking, drinking coffee and visiting musea, having a great time and watching the Eurovision Songfestival.
Friday; taking the plane at 8 o’clock and arriving at London City Airport at 8.10 uk time. Dropping off my suitcase and on the go to the South of London for a tattoo appointment. I went to the Tatu Society. I wanted to get the tattoo; joie de vivre. Just because I think we may appreciate life more and see beauty in the small things. Sometimes we forget to enjoy life, even if it’s just a sunny afternoon with a coffee.
Next stop on my list for that day was Liberty, which is just an adorable place with lovely products. Spend maybe 1 hour just looking through the lovely corners. Next to Liberty you’ve got Soho and I got the most lovely surprise, we walked past the House of Minalima, really a must visit if you’re a Harry Potter fan.
After that a long walk to the British Museum where again I spend so much time.
Saturday; Had a super slow morning and took a 30 minute underground to visit the Victoria & Albert museum. Before going to the museum I had a delicious coffee at Fernandez & Wells.
Again the museum took me a long time, two and a half hours and literally saw everything in the museum. It was inspiring in a way and relaxing, even for a Saturday. Across the street is the Natural History Museum, which I visited last time as well, so didn’t spend to much time there this time. After that had a stroll to Kings Kross, to visit the Harry Potter shop and then an underground to Covent Garden.
At 8 pm the Eurovision Songfestival started and we were chilling in the sofa with dinner and a glass of wine.
Sunday; The last day unfortunately. Again had a slow start, but for that day only the Tate Museum was planned because I had to take the plane. Before the museum we visited a nice coffee place, where they had the most delicious vegan chocolate cake.
I loved loved loved the museum, it’s modern and inspiring. Had a delicious lunch at the 9th floor with potato and truffle.
