The second day was more relaxed. We walked the other way from the hotel and visited the Jane Austin Center, which is very interesting. After we walked to the Kings Circus, which is really a must see when you’re in Bath. Another museum that was on my list was the Fashion Museum.
Waking up early, getting ready to fly to Bristol. After only a 50 minute flight from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport to Bristol it was a 2 h drive with the bus to Bath. The busstop was right in front of our Hotel, which made it super easy to drop off the luggage. Because Bath is such an adorable city it’s great to just have a stroll, walking past the cutest stores and wander through the small streets. And actually that what the planning was for all those days. The first lunch spot was The Kingsmead Kitchen, where they served delicious vegan plates and a delicious gingerbread latte with soy milk. The hotel was located in the center, and close by was the Society Cafe which is the cutest coffee spot ever. We walked past the shops over the Pulteney Bridge and past the River Avon, which was a peaceful walk.
// It’s the end of February, usually around this time of year it feels crisp and still cold, but this year spring decided to come by early. My suitcase was ready for warmer weather, but I couldn’t imagine walking around with bare legs in February.
// It was perfect weather for a stroll from the hotel to the Seine, which took 30 minutes. The sun and atmosphere were perfect. I think Paris is great for walking, especially with sunny weather like this. I’d never seen Paris with this magical sun light before, the only word I can use for this is; magical and purity.
That’s what I love about Paris; it’s warm, fresh, magical, romantic and the scenery can just have been pulled out of a beautiful romantic photo or painting. In life I think the small moments need to be cherished the most. For me that has been the cozy evening walk and the terracce moments; a delicious glass of wine, a good company, some cigarettes, laughter and deep talks. Unfortunately some of those moments will occur to you later, when the moment has passed and you figure you didn’t take enough time to cherish it. To achieve more of those moments I think capturing photo’s, writing thoughts, keeping a daily journal and expressing creativity will improve these small happy things.
Last weekend I went on a trip to Copenhagen, it’s the second time this year that I visited this amazing city. In July I went on a Srpr.me trip and ended in Copenhagen for 5 days. After this trip I really wanted to go back. There were a few things that I didn’t visit then and were on my list for this trip. One of those things was the Botanical Garden, this would have been for sure way to warm in July.
I’ve always loved Botanical Gardens, especially the glass with the palm trees. This a a very magical garden, because you have got the interesting stairs going round so you can see it from above.
Yesterday afternoon I came back from a two day trip to Paris. I’m always in for a trip to Paris. Especially in the autumn season it’s the perfect city to go.
This time I stayed in this super cute hotel, Hotel Henriette. It’s located in the 13th arrondisement at Rue de Gobelins.
It’s honestly the cutest hotel I’ve every seen, it’s a mix of vintage, chique and sweetness. The patio in the back is available for a coffee or breakfast.
Breakfast is a buffet, with fresh juices, fruit, Nespresso coffee and pancakes. The hotel has got different kind of rooms, all in the same colour scheme, with pastels and amazing decorations. This hotel radiates class.
A 4 day trip to Milan . Which I expected to be busy, but turned out to be relaxing. This is because it’s not that touristic, of course at the Duomo it’s busy, but in the little streets and shipping area it’s super nice and a perfect city to get the Italian vibes.
So actually you’ve got the big square, with the Duomo, restaurants and Museo Del Duomo (which was on top of my list for Milano).
Museo Del Duomo has got an amazing view on the Duomo, with huge windows and a great view, this is the perfect spot for a photo. Also this museum has a great restaurant, also with a view on the Duomo and delicious raspberry pie.
Next to the Piazza del Duomo you’ll find a Gallery, “Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II”, where you’ll find Prada, Louise Vuitton and Versace. When you leave the gallery you’ll find yourself in the cute little streets if Milano, also with lots of shops and restaurants.
Another nice thing to do is to get on top of the Duomo, you’ll get there with an escalator and you have to go by stairs to the top. From the roof the view is amazing and there’s also a restaurant.
We stayed in the Radisson Blu hotel, which is located outside the centre, but has also got great streets to get lost in.
This hotel has honestly the most delicious pasta and room service I’ve ever had. Mmm and the fruit salad, so delicious!
